HE RESEMBLES BERNY MADOFF..........
The man on the twenty dollar bill, 1844
Daguerreotype of Andrew Jackson.
From the Library of Congress.
Andrew Jackson (March 15, 1767 – June 8, 1845) was the seventh President of the United States (1829–1837). He was military governor of Florida (1821), commander of the American forces at the Battle of New Orleans (1815), and eponym of the era of Jacksonian democracy. A polarizing figure who dominated American politics in the 1820s and 1830s, his political ambition combined with widening political participation, shaping the modern Democratic Party. His legacy is now seen as mixed, as a protector of popular democracy and individual liberty, checkered by his support for Indian removal and slavery. Renowned for his toughness, he was nicknamed “Old Hickory”. As he based his career in developing Tennessee, Jackson was the first president primarily associated with the American frontier. His portrait appears on the U.S. twenty-dollar bill. (Wikipedia)

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NYC 1960
UPON JOINING THE GROUPThe BEST of Black & White Photography - Post only your BEST I HAD TO ADMIT THAT I HAVE SOME REGRETS..................
It is a real pleasure to post only my best. One problem exists, and that is my fault. I regret that i did not carry some kind of camera around with me from the time i was ten, 1952. When i think of the opportunities i missed, i can become despondent. On the other hand, when i imagine how many cameras i would have most likely lost, i can face reality. Has there ever been anyone who has carred a camera with them everywhere they went since they were a youngster? Hopefully, there will be much time left for some new best ones...........Rob

PRESIDENT OBAMA BEHIND HIS NEW DESK...
IT MATTERS LITTLE ABOUT POLITICAL PARTIES WHEN IT COMES RIGHT DOWN TO THE POSITION OF PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
I congratulate President Obama for listening to his military staff and the majority of the American citizens who voted for him on the matter of releasing more photos as requested by the ACLU; I admire his wisdom in this matter. Realizing that to bend to the demands of the ACLU would cost more American lives, I am confident now that President Obama now realizes that most Americans are concered more about the security of our nation than party politics. Thank you Mr. President for making the right decision.

You Are My Sunshine...
You Are My Sunshine...
...My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away
